Fort Worth businesses
Fort Worth is one half of a large, fast-growing metro, and its small businesses stretch from the older neighborhoods near downtown to newer suburbs such as Keller, Burleson and Benbrook. Many are service firms, offices and trades that use their website as a calling card: a few pages, a contact form and a gallery of past work.
Spring storms and summer heat can close a shop or push back appointments, and a website showing the wrong hours sends customers to a locked door. Sites like these also tend to be the ones nobody updates, because they work fine until one day the form stops sending. Regular checks catch that early.
A month on a plan
Here is a concept log for one kind of site we look after. Each lane is one part of the site; the steps are updates, and the tall marks in the backup lane are the copies taken right before them.
- Update applied
- Security patch
- Daily backup
- Restore point before a change
- Small edit
- Hosting check
How we work with Fort Worth businesses
Everything is done remotely. You send changes by email, we keep the site running from our side, and any call is booked in Central time. We have no office in Fort Worth, and a care plan doesn't need one: the website lives on a server, and so does all of the work on it.
What we need to take it over
- Your website address, and where the domain is registered
- Where the site is hosted now, or that you'd like us to arrange hosting
- What the site runs on, if you know: WordPress, another CMS, a site builder or custom code
- Who built it, and whether you still have the admin logins
- The changes you usually need, such as hours, staff, menu items, prices or new photos
- Anything broken or worrying right now, such as a warning in the browser or a form that stopped sending
Questions
What time zone do you work in for Fort Worth clients?
We book calls in Central time. The rest of the work happens by email.
Is a care plan worth it for a five-page site?
Small sites need the same updates and backups as big ones. The plan is smaller and so is the quote, but the software still has to be kept current.
Ask about a plan
Plans are quoted per site. The quote depends on what the site runs on, how many plugins and pages it has, how often you expect edits and whether we handle the hosting.
