Website care for Seattle small businesses

Website care plans for Seattle small businesses: updates, backups, small edits and hosting, done remotely with calls in Pacific time.

Seattle businesses

Seattle's small businesses include cafes, restaurants, shops and studios spread across neighborhoods like Ballard, Capitol Hill and Fremont, along with service firms in nearby cities such as Bellevue, Kirkland and Renton. Many of them sell or take orders online, which makes a working site part of daily business.

Wet winters and the odd snow day that shuts down hilly streets mean last-minute closures and changed hours. Restaurants and cafes also change menus with the seasons. When the menu lives on the website as real text, those edits are quick, and a care plan means someone else makes them.

A month on a plan

Here is a concept log for one kind of site we look after. Each lane is one part of the site; the steps are updates, and the tall marks in the backup lane are the copies taken right before them.

How we work with Seattle businesses

Everything is done remotely. You send changes by email, we keep the site running from our side, and any call is booked in Pacific time. We have no office in Seattle, and a care plan doesn't need one: the website lives on a server, and so does all of the work on it.

What we need to take it over

  • Your website address, and where the domain is registered
  • Where the site is hosted now, or that you'd like us to arrange hosting
  • What the site runs on, if you know: WordPress, another CMS, a site builder or custom code
  • Who built it, and whether you still have the admin logins
  • The changes you usually need, such as hours, staff, menu items, prices or new photos
  • Anything broken or worrying right now, such as a warning in the browser or a form that stopped sending

Questions

What time zone do you work in for Seattle clients?

We book calls in Pacific time. Edits and updates are handled by email and don't need a call.

Can you look after a site that takes online orders?

Yes. Ordering and checkout pages get extra care: updates are tested on a copy first, and we check the order flow after every change.

Ask about a plan

Plans are quoted per site. The quote depends on what the site runs on, how many plugins and pages it has, how often you expect edits and whether we handle the hosting.
